Jalandhar, June 6 - Revolutionary Marxist Party of India (RMPI) strongly condemned the raids by CBI on the houses and offices of NDTV Co- founder and Chairman Pronoy Rai and his Wife.
Comrade Mangat Ram Pasla, General Secretary
of the Party while issuing a Press release here today termed these raids by
Central agencies an abnoxious attempt to muzzle the independence and freedom of
the Press. This step of the Central agencies on behest of Govt. shows that
Govt. is afraid of growing popularity and credibility of NDTV amongst the
people. Registration of Criminal cases after 8 years of full payment of loan
also shows that these has only been registered to witch-hunt this Channel. He
also Stated that NDTV is one of the few media houses which is daringly exposing
the reactionary, anti-Constitution and anti-people policies of saffron clad
Govts. and this steps is to suppress the
genuine voice of this Channel and a message to other media houses to fall in
line.
Comarade Pasla
has appealed to the all pro-democracy and pro-justice people of the
Country to widely condemn and resist such hitlarite attacks of the Modi Govt.
