CCC decides to hold effigy burning demonstrations on October 15

Thane (Maharashtra)
: The Communist Coordination Committee (CCC), comprising on the Revolutionary Marxist Party of India (RMPI) and the Marxist Communist Party of India-United (MCPI-U), will hold effigy burning demonstrations in villages/cities on October 15 to protest against the Manuvadi-Hindutva ideology that institutionalizes casteist and gender oppression and discrimination. This decision has been taken by a joint meeting of the central committees of both the parties held at Ganeshapuri, district Thane (Maharashtra).
Comrade Mangat Ram Pasla, General Secretary RMPI and Comrade M Ashok Omkar, General Secretary MCPI-U have given this information through a joint statement issued here today.
Pasla and Ashok have said that during the above protests, a strong voice will be raised against the increasing atrocities and discrimination against Dalits and women across the country for the achievement of social justice and the protection of their dignity.
They said that the incident of a person associated with RSS throwing a shoe at the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India and the suicide of a Dalit IPS officer in Haryana who was fed up with the casteist behavior of the so-called upper caste officials should not be considered as a common crime. Similarly, the fact that a female representative was not allowed to enter the press conference of Taliban representatives and the failure of the Modi government of India to take due action for this behavior is also no small incident.
Pasla and Ashok have called on the countrymen to build a strong resistance against the above chauvinistic ideology.
